We set many criteria when designing the
track. The most important being that it should be great fun to drive,
have some very challenging corners and allow different racing lines through
certain sections.

Like Thruxton race circuit, we have tried to make the kart circuit
a drivers track. Fast corners will reward the brave as they balance the
race chassis karts in big drifts, and the hairpins and chicanes will
find the last of the late breakers.
The use of banking at some corners,
coupled with combinations of bends linked together at other, leads to
a circuit with many overtaking areas, and a different line may have to
be adopted when racing closely with another driver compared with a qualifying
lap by yourself. We also have a flyover - the first for an outdoor track
in the UK.
The track at 1100 metres long and 7 metres wide will easily
allow the 20 plus karts we run as a maximum. Three or even four karts
abreast are possible into a lot of the corners.
Great attention
has been paid to the driving experience, having kerbs in the right places,
suitable drainage and above all that it is a safe track to race on.
